Procedure documentation Copying and Changing an Existing Configuration  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

The piece of equipment has not yet been configured.

Procedure

  1. Call up the equipment master record in the Change mode.
  2. Choose the tab page Conf. Data.
  3. Enter the configurable material you require.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Link Ref.

    5. A dialog box is displayed.

  5. Enter the variants and the plant, and choose Continue.

    6. This takes you to the tab page of the configuration data.

  6. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Copy Ref.

The system copies the configuration data from the configured material. This means that the equipment master record no longer refers to the variant configuration. Instead you can maintain the configuration individually for the equipment.
  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Maintain.

You go to the screen with the characteristic values of the variants.
  1. Change the data according to your requirements and return to the configuration data tab page.

    2. You will see that the configuration data is now flagged as being maintained individually.

  2. Save your data.
